Alicia Everitt, Ph.D.
CEO and Co-founder
Alicia Everitt is the CEO and co-founder of AssurTek Surgical. Alicia brings interdisciplinary expertise in bioimpedance-based technologies, medical device development and entrepreneurship to the team. Alicia received her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Dartmouth in 2021, where she was a Fellow in the prestigious Innovation Program with a surgical sub-specialty. Alicia is passionate about commercializing breakthrough technology to improve equal patient access to quality care.
Ryan Halter, Ph.D.
CTO and Co-founder
Ryan Halter is CTO and co-founder of AssurTek Surgical. Ryan is a renowned expert in bioimpedance-based medical devices, specializing in sensor-based diagnostics. Ryan's deep expertise in joint hardware and software development includes digital system design, signal processing, and FPGA-based instrumentation. Ryan is an Associate Professor of Engineering at Dartmouth’s Thayer School of Engineering and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Surgery at the Geisel School of Medicine.
Michael Salin, D.M.D.
CMO and Co-founder
Michael Salin is Chief Medical Officer and co-founder of AssurTek Surgical. Mike is a board-certified Oral Surgeon and multi-site private practice owner with over 20 years of clinical experience. Mike also teaches as an Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Temple University School of Medicine and founded Bucks County Dental Study Club. Mike is driven by his commitment to patient safety and addressing critical gaps in current practices that he sees first-hand.
David Lopez, Esq.
Board
Dave Lopez brings over 30 years as an attorney, financial officer and transactional professional in life sciences and high-technology. Previously, Dave was Sr. Promotional Compliance/Regulatory Attorney at Otsuka and Sr. Attorney at a Cravath Swain law firm spinoff specializing in life sciences, biotechnology, and medical devices. Dave also has investment banking experience at Drexel Burnham Lambert and consulting / auditing experience in “Big Four” public accounting.
Robert Segal, MD
Board
Robert has over 30 years of medical and pharmaceutical experience and has been responsible for the design and execution of numerous multi-national, multi-site clinical Phase 2 through Phase 3 and non-clinical studies. Robert has served as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Discovery Laboratories, Inc./ Windtree Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ). Previously, he served at Merck Laboratories in the position of Director, Cardiovascular Clinical Research.
